FFfAW challenge #168

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Yarnspinnerr.

Word limit 100 – 150.

People were waiting in the building watching the airline staff going through their paces, literally, on the tarmac below.
Each armed with a walkie-talkie, comments were being passed on and decisions made.
It was raining and the runway would be wet and slippery.
It was just a little bit worrying.
And also amusing in an obtuse sort of way.
This was their only aircraft, shiny, new and their pride and joy. However, the pilots preferred to only fly in good weather rather than run the risk of getting it dirty.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

Haha, a bit like when you get that brand new car home from the garage for the first time. It’s never as clean as that first time πŸ™‚

  2. Hahahaha! The pilots don’t want to get the new plane dirty! LOL! Cute story!
