Saturday Mix: 19 May 2018

Thank you Sarah for this week’s Saturday Mix challenge

Same Same But Different
Your ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right, you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.

Your words this week are:

  1. cushion
  2. time
  3. roof
  4. water
  5. fork

Your writing form is either poetry or prose.

Typical.
I was going to have to dish (5) out a substantial amount out of my own pocket now to get the damn ceiling (3) fixed as the stupid woman in the flat above had left the tap (4) running again. Insurance couldn’t soften (1) the blow in this instance (2).

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Very clever! I haven’t even attempted this week as the set was too tricky for me lol. Thanks for joining in the Saturday Mix 😊
