G’day, it’s been a good day!

Hurrah!
This morning we were up early as we had dentist appointments first thing.
All the drilling Hubby’s been doing lately have set my teeth on edge so I have not been looking forward to it.
We have a check up twice a year, and I am pleased to report that both of us needed no more than a quick descale.
For less than twenty minutes work (for the pair of us, not each!) we parted with over £43, but for health matters, we don’t begrudge a single penny.
Our next appointments have been booked for November 27th.

Following that, Hubby had a blood test for his INR and warfarin dosage. The new lady did the business and although his level has dropped outside the preferred parameters, she said to continue with his current dosage.
Hubby didn’t think this was correct though she was adamant, and so rang the surgery to speak to our friendly INR supervisor who confirmed that he needed to increase his dosage for 2 days, but remain on the lesser amount for the other 5. He has to have another blood test next week.

Main news of the day though has got to be THE GATES.
They are up. They are secure, they have the necessary bolts in place to keep them open when driving through and the others to keep them closed.
They really look good and Hubby is extremely pleased (and so he should be, he’s done a grand job).
No photo yet as they have to be painted first.

Tomorrow Hubby has a hospital appointment so we can only work in the morning. However, the wood needs to be sealed before painting so we might actually have a morning off!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Gongrats on the gate…. don’t envy beginning the day at the dentist, though.

  2. You’re a real tease with these gate pictures (though I suppose I can wait a little longer).
