Tuesday Darts Results

We won last night, 8 – 6, to a team that ours had never beaten before.

I was partnered with someone different this week, and when I met him that first week, he seemed a little ‘uptight’ and standoffish, especially when his partner didn’t do very well.
I had one dart go a little haywire when my fingers locked, but otherwise had some pretty decent scores with only two 10p fines for less than 20.
The preceding two pairs lost 2 – 1 , but Partner and I won our match 3 – 0, as did the pair that followed us.

I must admit, the guys on the other side were pros, I mean 100s were all over the place to our lads 40s, 50s and the occasional 80 in the men’s 1001 down.
Us ladies fared slightly better, us needing 17 to their double 7, which they got first.
Best score of the night was 121, and that was scored by Partner in our second game.

It was another late night though, we didn’t finish until 11.30, which is a bit of a bind as Hubby comes to fetch me when he would rather be tucked up in bed!
We’re Away at Home next week as we’re playing the pub’s A team, then the following week there’s a blind pairs competition.

I’m trying to work out if you shut your eyes or your names are all put in a hat and you could be partnered with anyone of the opposite sex from any other team.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Does Hubby not enjoy hurling arrows? Pity. a good game for husband/wife partnerships.
