Over to Bikurgurl’s challenge this week:
Everything was going according to plan.
No-one suspected, and the city lights continued to generate pulsating undertones for their tracking devices.
The government had insisted all high-rise buildings be equipped with the Energy Usage smart meters, little knowing they were playing right into enemy hands.
Soon, it would all be over, the invasion complete, and those who did not comply annihilated. Not for them prisons or care establishments at the State’s expense.
The skies darkened, and the first shuttles made their way to the Earth’s surface.
To those in the buildings, they just looked like street lights on the freeway.
