Time was running out and she didn’t want to miss her chance as she’d been told the transition period only lasted 24 hours.
How many times had they come here for an illicit weekend away? Private and secluded, no-one knew them and they could shut themselves away knowing they would never be disturbed.
What a joke. His wife had found them with little difficulty, and what followed made headline news as a ‘knife frenzied attack’.
But she’d have the last laugh.
Perhaps not quite the way most scorned women would, but this was very apt in the circumstances.
She had some ‘friends’ to help her, though they were innocents only along for the ride sotospeak as it was their nature to travel together.
She chuckled to herself. Being dead gave her the perfect alibi, not that anyone would guess anyway, it was a fluke to find herself like this.
Her target was in sight………. a brand new top of the range Bentley, his latest pride and joy.
He’d shit on her big time, and so she was going to do the same to him, literally. Bird shit, especially seagulls, plays hell with car paintwork, and when there are fifty of you……..

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
