Busy doing nothing……………….

It is a gloriously sunny day today, and we intend to do……………. Nowt.
After yesterday’s journey, the thought of getting in the car to go anywhere holds as much appeal as a toenail fungus, so we are staying in and playing scrabble.

Hubby had a bad night as despite taking his bomb, he was in a lot of pain.
It confirms my fear that the journey was too far, too long and too soon.
Maggie doesn’t travel well either, so she ate very little yesterday. This morning she has eaten her breakfast and also with a little scraping of Buddy’s tinned food, half a bowl of her own.

One thing about being here is we have some interesting debates as our opinions, concepts and ideas are so diversely different.
This morning over breakfast we have commented on obesity in our schools, this Russian poisoning that is still going on and the sad death of Eric Bristow, who I was surprised to read was younger than me.

Scrabble is calling! The board is out and the table in position.
Time to go, else I’ve been threatened with disconnection!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
