Photo challenge # 208

This week Nekneeraj gives us an image by Igor Morski.
Somehow it makes me think of politicians.

He was growing used to the snide comments as his features began to change shortly after taking office.
References to hogs and wild pigs were top of the insults, but he bore it with aplomb in the beginning.
The brace was his final attempt to keep his disfigurement to a minimum.
The doctors were baffled and referred him to experts in bone deformity.
No-one had any answers, so he kept as low a profile as possible and just hoped it would either stop expanding, or reverse itself.
Five year old Gabby however seemed to love her grampa’s new look.
‘You remind me of a movie star!’ she announced.
‘Who’s that sweetie?’ he asked, rather pleased.
‘I can do better than that,’ she said skipping off. ‘I can show you a picture!’
His heart brimming with love, he waited patiently for her to return.
‘Him!’ she beamed, and plonked her copy of Pinocchio in his lap.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
