This site has been putting a like on numerous posts I’ve written.

The top line (www.sexy.(whatever)) varies every time.
They have been blacklisted on my blog.

Me too
I’ve noticed this piggybacking on comments I’ve made on other peoples posts/comments. Hubby has hopefully sorted it out for me.
I must block it/them
I’m having several messages coming in on this and it seems to be on several sites I follow and/ or comment on.
Really odd and irritating. They seem to have dried up… off now
🙂
I’ve had a few lately that when I looked at the comment I got the flag “possible phishing site.” I shut them down although mine weren’t “sexy.” You must be special.
Hi Kate. This guy is making the rounds and there are two forums on it now. The link in my second post puts you to one
and there is a link to the second in one of the latter comments. It only seems to affect likes, not comments, but he’s
intruding on comments on other sites as well as posts on mine.
Is it a rogue site? I’ve noticed it too
I’m afraid I don’t know and have no idea how to check it. It’s not just posts I’ve written, but also comments I’ve made too, so Hubby thought this was the best way to approach it and let my readers know.
Thanks for letting us know, I have had the same, not sure what to do about it, just deleted the emails from WordPress that they have liked comments. WordPress must be able to block them for us. Just a thought.
Hopefully the forum that started up yesterday has had results.
They’re doing it on mine too! Ive been afraid to go to their page. If you find a way to deal with it, let us know!
Oh blimey. Can you block them too?
IDK. Looking into it. Wish me luck!
I do!
exactly the same site that it seems to follow me everywhere, I even hit them the follow button but after reading this I’ll unfollow, don’t have a clue what these guys are about.
Glad my post was of some help Charly.
It was since when I went to their blog it was a bit sketchy
My pleasure and I’ve passed it on to Hubby.
It shows on mine as http://www.sexy.gnber. ru
Its piggybacking on a few peoples likes.
Like a virus that starts contacting all your contacts the minute you click on the site?
Hi Laura. Mine seem to have disappeared this morning, but there are now two forums up and running about it. The link in my latter post has several responses and the second link is one of those. WP are aware and seem to be working on it.
I’ve been seeing how wide spread this has become! Crazy! Saddly, I’m also seeing that people have tried blocking the IP. Apparently an IP is not exclusive therefore its blocking lots of followers from biewing their blogs. Ive seen a dozen of the blogs I follow can no longer be viewed, password protected etc. Its a real mess! But, it does appear WP is trying to fix it.
I’ve just picked up on key words in my blacklist.
Always some out there that want to ruin everything for everyone else.
Spam and Delete
Typical isn’t it? I can spam any comments, but not so the likes. Hopefully the block should work.
Reblogged this on pensitivity101 and commented:
Thanks to MLMM for this message on the topic.
I’ve added my comment to it. Hopefully WP can do something now.
Di
I saw this forum opened up today at WP about the spam likes
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spam-likes-5?replies=2#post-3089321
I just started getting these last night and this morning. How do you block them, as the only thing in common is the beginning (“www.sexy.”) and the rest for each “like” is different. I notice that quite a few of my “likes” end in “.ru,” which I assume means they are from Russia!
We’ve put the key words http://www.sexy and sexy in the discussions section in settings, which blacklists them.
There are two forums on the go so you may well have already left a comment on those. WP seems to be working on it though. All those outstanding likes which I hadn’t acknowledged were gone this morning as far as I could see.
Under Setting…go to Discussion. There you will find a box designatedd
Comment Blacklist
When a comment contains any of these words in its content, name, URL, email, or IP address, it will be put in the trash. One word or IP address per line. It will match inside words, so “press” will match “WordPress”.
Here you can blacklist unwelcome followers. I’m sorry you are having this problem, it’s not unusual here. I have blocked a number of trolls.
Thanks Holly. We’ve done this with others and it seems to have worked. We’ve added ‘sexy’ to the list so that should stop any more from him.
smart!
I’ve been getting this too. They’ve been liking comments I’ve made on other blogs, but I haven’t had any comments from them. Will blocking them help stop them Liking?
I’m dealing with it by not opening anything from them, but I hope WP picks up on this.
Thank you very much for the Heads Up. Much appreciated. 🙂
I reblogged my post with a forum site Sci as I’m not the only one. I haven’t had any more today but those that are showing I haven’t clicked on. It’s only likes, not comments, so I can’t spam them. Good luck.
I did check out the forum yesterday, but WP didn’t seem to have done anything then.
However, today I seem to be relatively clear of the Spam Likes. Touch wood! 🙂
Likewise. There are two forums running apparently, so I checked out the one I referred to and found it, then put a thread on the other as well. Seems there are a lot of people affected.
