Friday reminder: Stream of Consciousness 24th March

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “picture.” Write about, or theme your post on the first picture you see when you sit down to start writing. You don’t need to describe the picture necessarily–you can even put yourself in it if you’re not already there. Enjoy!

I do most of my writing in the lounge, anything else is usually in bed, but we have no pictures up in there yet.
I actually see three pictures every day when I sit down to write.
One is of Hubby and I in fancy dress at Morwellham Quay when we were on a camping holiday in Devon before we got Barney, another is of my Father in Law in full uniform, and the third is Mum and Dad on their Silver Wedding anniversary.
As I look up and across at the table where our hearts candle holder sits, the pictures all look back at me. There’s no particular order, and one is not favoured more than either of the others, it depends on how they’re put back when we dust!

Today we shall be lighting one of the Big Candles we bought some time ago as Mum’s ashes are being scattered this morning. Their picture will be placed in the centre.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
