She always had one on the go. It was therapeutic after a hard day and the light in the spare room was perfect.
At 1500, it was one of the biggest she’d attempted and so it had taken longer to complete than normal. The different blues and stonework had proven to be especially confusing because the pattern was repeated in such close proximity.
‘There!’ she said. ‘Finished. Come and see!’
Steve blanched when he saw it.
‘Don’t you like it? I want to frame this one as it was such a swine.’
He was speechless.
She looked at him. Hard. All joviality gone.
‘You thought I wouldn’t find out didn’t you.’
‘I had you followed. Nice little bar, that Gleneagles. My P.I. got loads of pictures of the pair of you.’
He didn’t know what to say.
‘You probably recognise that white car. It’s yours. Did you enjoy your boat trip?’
‘It’s not what you think……………. ‘ he began.
‘It never is. I want a divorce, and you can shove the puzzle where the sun don’t shine.’
