As a child, I would blush like crazy if anyone so much as looked at me.
I hate being the centre of attention, though I am comfortable enough in a crowd as long as too many people aren’t actually looking directly at me.
I’ve had a couple of instances where I’ve had to address a group, and although they were most polite and said it wasn’t, I felt the blush on my face was so red you could cook toast on it.
Years ago, women would pinch their cheeks to give them a becoming ‘blush’, and in later years cosmetics took over. I’ve always admired those who can apply it so perfectly that you can’t see the join and their complexion looks au naturel.
I don’t bother with makeup, and flush or blush at the drop of a hat, resulting probably in a pink blotchy pebbledash effect.
Hubby rubs his hands and says ‘Feel the heeeeat!’ when I’m having one of my best, but I can blame it on the meds now as it’s one of the side effects, and I blush/flush all over!
