FFfAW Challenge-Week of March 13, 2018

Challenge number 158………….Thanks Joy.

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Enisa

The house clearance company were coming tomorrow to remove the old furniture and the decorators would be in the day after.
When she came back from her holiday, it would be like moving into a new home.
Maurice didn’t like spending money unnecessarily, but Julia was finally having her way.
After thirty two years of doing and having what he wanted, all that was going to change.
She warmed her hands in the heat from the dying bronze embers and smiled.
Maurice wouldn’t be looking over her shoulder anymore either.

90 words.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  2. Iain Kelly says:

I don’t like the way she is smiling at those embers…poor Maurice!

  3. James says:

I suspect Maurice came to a bad end.

  4. michael1148humphris says:

I trust she will enjoy her freedom; Maurice may not be so happy.

  5. Hahaha! She finally gets what she wants and poor Maurice, he doesn’t care anymore. Great story!

  6. Let’s hope she does not get obsessed with washing her hands again and again to wash off his blood πŸ™‚

  7. I wonder what exactly she did to poor Maurice.
