The tree was the only thing on the horizon. From this distance, he could not tell what kind of tree it was, though he was curious. He took a step forward.
And stopped, realising he was at the point where he could choose whichever direction, but once his decision was made, there would be no turning back.
If he stayed on this path, he would eventually reach the tree, and at least satisfy his curiosity.
Going left or right lead to the unknown, perhaps nothing, perhaps everything. Perhaps even a forest of trees lay just beyond his line of vision.
The question was, did he want to continue on a path of certainty, or explore new horizons?
At this time in his life, did he want to take a chance?
The choice was his…………………
