This is the 157th challenge for FFfAW, and what a challenge!
Let’s see what I can come up with in 100 – 175 words this week.
This week’s photo prompt is provided by Goroyboy.
Pen to paper, quill to ink, in normal circumstances, the words would flow easily.
He had just two inches of paper upon which he wanted to convey his soul, his everything to her.
He had no writing tool, so plucked a feather from the hard pillow upon which he rested his head at night to dream of her.
He had no ink, so used his blood, his life’s force, and wrote from the heart.
He said he was sorry to say goodbye and accepted what fate had dealt him.
He said he would love her forever, that a part of him would always be with her, that she had captured his heart and held it prisoner.
He told her he would see her in the next life and get it right next time.
All this in two inches.
They were right. Size matters.
