Our task is to write a story of 200 words or less using the follow image.

Why did they always build snowmen!
What she’d give for a flowing skirt instead of the solid ice block upon which she perched.
She’d thought at first that’s what they were going to give her, but it turned out to be just a lopsided lump which didn’t quite bind so they just left it as it was.
With a bit of imagination, the bow tie could have been made into earrings, and they could have given her strands of silver foil locks and a ‘pearl’ necklace of small stones if they’d bothered to look. But oh no, she got a stupid dotty grin that could have curled slightly more in an upward arc. As it was, it made her look constipated.
And her arms! Stick thin, totally out of proportion to the rest of her.
She sighed a flurry of resignation.
Oh well, at least her bum wouldn’t look big as she felt the first beginnings of thaw.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
