Today’s word is RESTART.
https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/restart/
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had a reset button which we could push to restart our lives or send us on a different path.
If we could do this, would we though? Now that is the question.
In doing so, would we lose our memories of the pre-life or have the new one an extension of it?
The past makes us what we are today is such a cliché, yet it holds truth, afterall, we learn by our mistakes and from experience, which helps to make us a better human being.
Or at least, that’s the theory.
I didn’t actually restart my life, but I did rebuild it.
I was able to take the good bits I liked about myself and build a new life based on those.
It took a while, a lot of soul-searching and a lot of honesty about the bad bits as I didn’t like myself very much, but I got there. I am now WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) and if you don’t like that, it’s OK, I understand.
I haven’t forgotten those times before, but my attitude and expectations have changed, and I couldn’t be happier.
What is even better is I have no regrets in respect of the decisions I made.
If you meet someone when you are at your rock bottom lowest and most cynical yet they still like you, that’s gotta be good.
Isn’t it a life restart for those who believe in reincarnation?
I guess it is Fandango!
That’s a great prompt, and you did an excellent job with it. I’ve been thinking of doing a post along the same lines, and the extra motivation is welcome.
PS – Love the reference to WYSIWYG. I’ll bet many of the younger readers won’t understand that reference.
Thank you! I’ve only just started doing these as I was running out of ideas, though I probably won’t do them every day. If you actually said wasiwig to the younger generations, they’d think it was part of the Jedi language or start looking for a phone ap!!
