Saturday Mix: 24th February

Same Same But Different
Your ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right, you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.

Your words this week are:

  1. table
  2. sleep
  3. take
  4. foot
  5. black

The cat sat at the base (4) of the bed, eyeing up the jet (5) dish on the desk (1).
No-one saw him pinch (3) one of the chocolates and return to his cushion for a nap (2).

Thanks Sarah. For further details, check here:

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Sounds about right for a cat! lol
    Great short story

    • My parents’ dog used to pilfer the walnuts from the nut dish on the coffee table. Sweets and chocolates were left alone, but the walnuts were fair game and we found the shells everywhere.

Actually i believe my two dogs stole Turkish delight from my parents in law when they dog sat. All that was left was the wrappers! So maybe it’s animals /pets in general
