Just Jot January 2018: last day 30th Jan.

With tomorrow 31st being One Liner Wednesday, our final word for the challenge is

Scrumptious  provided by Judy Martin

Hands up those who are thinking of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Truly Scrumptious!

Well, I’m thinking food, food and more food, especially the stuff we’re not allowed to have.
I have just discovered the most scrumptious cake in the coffee shop we frequently visit with Maggie when we walk into town.
I’ve already fallen victim to their lemon and ginger slice, carrot cake and sparkle cake, but now I have tasted the truly scrumptious delights of their Peanut Butter Stack.
It stands at least an inch and a half tall and four inches long, so you get a lot of calories for your money.
It’s a crumbled chocolate layered cookie laced with toffee and a creamy filling, topped with sticky toffee icing dotted with peanuts. Extremely rich, and extremely yummy.

The irony is I don’t like peanut butter, but love peanut brittle and this tastes just like the latter.
I’m drooling here!!!!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Hungry. No cake in house…
    Arrrrrrrrrrgh 😣

  2. Oooooh , I like the sound and the look of that cake! Do you know what? I mentioned ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ in my post and didn’t even connect it with ‘Truly Scrumptious’! It must have been there in my subconscious though! 🙂

I think this is one of those words Di where drooling is always going to be the end result.
