#SoCS & #JusJoJan Daily Prompt, Jan. 13th, 2018

Not Just Jot Jan, but Saturday’s Stream of Consciousness too!

Having no kids, no TV listings and no newspaper, I’ve just bought a new book, so my 6th, 7th and 8th words on Page 1 (the prologue) are:

“The Thames Towpath”.

Honest!
It’s called The Dog Walker (very apt) and is a murder mystery thriller.
Well, I have never walked along the Thames unless you count a trip to St Thomas’s Hospital for Hubby some 21 years ago, and the only towpath has to be last year when I practically walked to Warwick along the Grand Union when we took the boat up for sale in April. It was much easier to keep going on the path between the locks rather than board and alight every two or three minutes.

Ho hum.
No romantic handheld moonlit strolls for me and my loved one along the Thames. We’ll make do with the prom and beach here (but only during the day. Too damn cold at night!!)

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and have a terrible sweet tooth. Best friends are Hubby, our dog Maggie, Bro in NZ, MSM and MOH (and his dog). I am also a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we were once again house hunting until September. We now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

  1. That those were the three words seems almost unbelievable!

  2. Michael says:

Good one Di, you are lucky the words fell the way they did.

  3. LindaGHill says:

Sounds like a good book. 😀 The last time I walked along the Thames I was with my son – he was too old to hold hands with. 😛 🙂
