Now here’s an interesting prompt today, Aggravate from Fandango

I hate conflict, confrontation, and being ill at ease in someone’s company.
However, sometimes we can’t help but aggravate a situation, even if it’s not of your making. Then the longer you leave it, or the more you try to resolve it, the worse it gets.

Try to smooth the waters and you’re accused of ‘creeping’ to whoever the other party is.
Agree with everything they say and you’re mindless of personal thought or condescending.
Keep quiet, and you’re told you don’t care or have no interest.

So these days, tough luck if I ruffle someone’s feathers.
Make a nest!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

  1. I with you there. I don’t like conflict or confrontation, but occasionally you must stand up for yourself or what you believe in come what may. we owe that to each other 🙂

  2. scifihammy says:

haha I like your attitude. 🙂

  3. HA! I love your attitude when you can’t do right for doing wrong! 🙂
