Sometimes I feel as if my life has gone full circle, and a sense of deja vu doesn’t quite cover it.
Take our previous house , the one before buying the boat.
It took a mere 10 days to get everything sorted, and that included the previous owners packing up and moving out as they were moving to a forces married quarters residence.
Our first night we spent sleeping on the floor because the memory foam mattress we’d bought needed 24 hours to ‘breathe’, before it could be slept on.
The thing came rolled in a long plastic condom, and when we split it opened, we both jumped back in alarm as we could hear it gasping for breath! Very spookey. Almost as creepy as a Resuss Annie torso with a pulse.
Some seven years later, and the nightmare sale from hell (all documented here in my blog around May/June/July 2014), we ended up sleeping on the floor as the bed frame had been dumped, everything else was in storage, and the memory foam mattress was cut to size that final morning to fit in the back of the car for us to sleep on as we house hunted…. again.
