Tuesday Photo Challenge – Recycle

First thing that came to mind was my picture from last week, but I thought that was a bit too cheeky! Frank’s picture this week is awesome so pop over and have a looksee.

I’m going with cards, the above being some I’ve made in the past couple of years and thus re-used post photos.
When I first started making them, I recycled bits and pieces from a variety of sources including old ribbons, buttons and bows. I remember sending my Mum a Christmas card of a snowman with tinsel dreadlocks. It would have been better for Halloween, it was that gross, but she saw the funny side and as far as I know has it tucked away somewhere in her box of memories, though I think she said by the time it reached her, he was bald and the envelope contained a toupee. That’s what comes of trying to be clever with cheap glues.

We were blessed with a lot of Christmas cards this year, and Hubby gave me a circular cutter as one of my £10 dash gifts.
I’m looking forward to an experimental session as there are some ideas going round in my head for designs for this year.

Please don’t shout at me for mentioning Christmas when the last one is less than a fortnight ago!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
