Today’s prompt word for Just Jot January is Boisterous , provided by Dan Antion
One of the things about dog ownership is watching your puppy grow.
They seem to have an invisible on/off switch, one minute they’re bombing around like some demented furball on speed, the next they are cute and quiet as they lie dreaming in their beds.
Sometimes though the boisterousness can get a little out of hand and I remember from many years past my friend’s dog wanting to play with my new pup and ended up breaking her leg. My friend was devastated, but come to think of it, didn’t offer to contribute towards the medical bill!
It was what the vet called a greenstick break, and she was in plaster for a few weeks.
It didn’t stop her though. Boisterous now included us getting donked on the head until she got used to the added weight, and then the One, Two, Three, SWING movement as she went up the stairs. Coming down was hilarious, a simple bump, bump, bump, as her cast hit every step.
