They had come to this place to get away from Elenora’s well-meaning but over intrusive family.
The weather had caught them unexpectedly, but they weren’t too worried as the cabin was well stocked with wood and food.
As it turned out, they were isolated for about two weeks longer than originally intended, but it had been the most heavenly fortnight. They had built a snowman, made snow angels and had snowball fights like a couple of kids. Their laughter echoed through the valley and at night they snuggled close under heavy blankets, listening to the crackling of the fire and watching the shadows dance on the walls.
In a way they were sorry when the thaw came, but it marked a new beginning for them.
Alex held his daughter up to the full moon in awe and wonder that such a beautiful creature was of his and Elenora’s making.
‘We’ll call her Angel,’ he said softly, looking fondly across at his beloved.
Elenora smiled back, remembering how they played in the snow, having no doubt that their child was conceived during those two glorious and precious weeks.
Wonderful continuation!!!
Thanks Ritu. I see Ken’s still having problems with Barbie-doll
I think I may need to help him see sense!
he could always go for a cabbage Patch doll?
Oooh! Lol! I still have mine!!!
Never had one, just loads of teddy bears. (I didn’t have a Barbie or Sindy either come to think of it)
Aw!!!
That’s lovely, Di… but where next, I wonder…?
I’ve got an idea forming………………..
Oooh 🙂
A very gentle and comforting tale.
Thanks James.
So warm and romantic. A cosy tale for a cold photo 🙂
Lovely tale Di….I don’t remember any event or date that marked the conception of any of my kids, some were a matter of opps!
A warm feel good tale. Merry Christmas to you.
You too Neel. Happy holidays and best wishes for the New Year.
Love the continuation, you are doing so great job! The ending is always a new beginning. And these 2 will be busy enough for now on. Let’s wait for next week prompt to see how they are doing!
Thanks Elizabeth. I’ll see how things progress! Hope you’re having good day today.
