More or less than you thought?

Bet you thought I’d forgotten didn’t you.
To recap, how many different ways can you score 26 in darts.

To many, you may think I should have something better to occupy my time than calculating combinations of scoring 26 on a dartboard.
But just think about this:

The one dart score is easy.
Then there are two darts, as sometimes one will go haywire.
Then you have to think about all three arrows counting.
Single digits.
Then doubles.
Not forgetting trebles.

I tried to be methodical in my approach, and I think I got all possible combinations, though some of them are so ridiculously outrageous I could not imagine anyone actually scoring 26 those particular ways, or even wanting to.
In the end, I came up with a total of ………….. are you ready for this…………………

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
