Tale Weaver – #145 – 16/11/17 – Unlikely Conversations.

The challenge:
This week consider the possibility of two unlikely characters meeting up and the conversation they might have with each other:

Full details here:

I’m going to do two posts on this. This is for the Tale Weaver.

‘Now listen very carefully’.
‘OK! I’m all ears!’
‘Soon your training will begin and the gang and I will be very lenient with you.’
‘OK. What do I do?’
‘The master will whistle your directions and we will co-operate fully until you get the hang of it’.
‘OK, OK. What happens next?’
‘Once you qualify and are seen to be successful in herding us all up into pens or trucks, then you’re on your own.’
‘What do you mean?’
‘I mean Sonny that there will be times when we don’t want to go in the same direction as you, or we won’t go in the truck, or we just want to be left alone!’
‘Just bear in mind it’s not your fault, we’re all entitled to a day off, and if you like you can come and join us as we graze in the fields. So long as it looks like you’re working, everyone’s happy.’
‘OK.  You’re a sheep, right?’
‘So as I’m a sheepdog, are we related then?’
‘Er, no’.
‘OK. When I’m bigger, we’ll see who’s boss. Until then, can we play?’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Love it Di, It reminded me a little of scenes from Babe with the sheep talking to Babe about behaviours….thanks for adding to this week’s tale weaver.

Brilliant, I love what you’ve done here Di. I’ve had some of my animals talking but usually with speech bubbles.
