Tuesday Photo Challenge – Broken

I didn’t know which way to go for Frank’s challenge this week.
Broken images, broken hearts, broken spirits all seemed to rattle around in my head.
But I suppose one thing that stands out in my mind the most is trust.

Trust cannot be stuck back together with glue or a band aid, and it was one of the most fundamental things stressed when I fostered that Trust worked both ways.
Once it was broken, whoever by or for whatever reason, suspicion and unease took its place, affecting everyone in the household and harmony was disrupted.
It was bad enough these kids came from broken backgrounds to begin with, but when my partner betrayed the trust of one by reading their diary, I never forgave him.
Broken hearts, broken spirits and a broken relationship.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I agree with you. Trust is hard to earn but so easily broken.
And I still think that your fostering these troubled children was a wonderful thing to do. 🙂
