Saturday Mix – Same Same But Different, 9 September 2017

From Sarah:

This week we are diving into the depths of our thesaurus and exploring the world of synonyms.

Same Same But Different
Your ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right, you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.

Your words are:

  1. produce
  2. puncture
  3. smile
  4. young
  5. difficult

She knew she was in love as she picked a variety of fresh food (1) from the shelves for her mother.
Loading up her bicycle basket, she wasn’t even bothered by having a flat (2).
Her face lit up like a beacon as she caught her sappy grin (3) reflected in the shop window as she repaired it. Life was so good.
Her elders would say at just eleven years of age, she was too immature (4) to experience such an emotion. They were wrong and it would be a hard (5) task to convince them otherwise.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
