Tale Weaver/ Fairy Tale – #135 – August 31st – Princess Charming

And why not I ask myself in these days of equality? 🙂 🙂

Traditionally the hero in fairy tales is the male Prince Charming character or someone similar. This week’s fairy tale asks you to consider the female version.

The call came through at 11.36pm.
Not exactly a white charger or trusty steed, she sped to the site as fast as her feet could pedal her bicycle.
Mrs Murphy was wringing her hands anxiously.
Stella hoisted herself up into the lower branches of the tree she’d climbed as a kid and pulled a handful of Katticakes out of her pocket.
The cat couldn’t resist and took them from her hand, enabling her to grab it by the collar and lower it to safety in Mrs Murphy’s waiting arms.
‘Thank you! Thank you! But where are the fire brigade?’
‘All out on a shout I’m afraid, so you got me.’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
