Writing Prompt #217 “Stories by 5”

Here we are at the end of August.
Such a beautiful photo for this week’s prompt.

My choice of five is as follows:
Topic :
Geisha
Names :
Male: Usher
Female: Umeko
Fruit:
Peach
Colour:
Ebony
Sensation:
Tingle

Umeko was nervous.
She didn’t recognise herself, but this was what she had planned as a surprise.
Her flawless peach complexion lay hidden under the white makeup, her eyes and lips made up to accentuate her natural beauty.
Her long ebony hair, now adorned with flowers and jewels, had been teased, tormented and coiffed above her head in the traditional style of a Geisha. It would be a nightmare to release, and she wished she’d opted for a wig instead.
She knew Usher was waiting for her to make a grand entrance.
What would he think?
She felt a tingle of apprehension at first, then overwhelming love when he looked at her, stood, and applauded before taking her delicate hand and their place at the altar to exchange their wedding vows.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
