Taking time out of sorts

We are currently in Lincolnshire checking out properties over a radius of around 30 miles of where we used to live.
We are staying in a B&B in Boston which is dog friendly, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Our room is on the ground floor, and has tea making facilities, a shower en suite and multi channel TV.

We were up at 5.30 this morning, and by the time we’d packed, sorted out the dog, had breakfast and left the house clean and tidy for MSM when she returned this afternoon, we didn’t get on the road until 6.50.

We arrived here at 10.20, after some 157 miles, which included a half hour potty break for mutt and adults, plus a much needed walk around and drink (water, and 2 teas).
Our room was ready for us so we could offload our gear and then go into town to sign on with as many estate agents as we could remember being there.
We were given details of just one property in our price range, did a drive by, and tried to arrange a viewing for this evening, or any other evening as it’s local.
No chance. So that has been put on the back burner until after tomorrow to view later in the week if necessary before we go back.

Our first appointment was cancelled because the property has been sold. We hope that’s not a bad omen. Still, it was in the middle of nowhere and needed a lot of work doing on it, hence the price of £110K.
Never mind,  we have 8 viewings tomorrow, four so far for Wednesday, then 2 and counting for Thursday as we haven’t quite finished exploring that area for possibilities on the ‘net.

We’re tired, but optimistic.
The wifi here is on a par with the marina, so we are back to disconnections, time outs, and limited service. I will try and post every day, and if I can, add a few challenges which I can prepare off-line and load later.

Maggie bless her, is shattered. Anyone would think she’d walked all the way.
The mattress is softer than the one at MSM’s so she’s in her element as it moulds to her shape and she can snuggle in. As she does so, like now, she is twitching contentedly in her sleep and each little pulse sees her legs stretching further and further out, thus taking up more and more room, pushing Hubby closer to the edge!

The place doesn’t seem to have changed much (mix of my own pictures and google images).

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
