The students took their seats in the auditorium and waited for the Professor to begin.
They loved his tutorials, they were always so interesting.
“Here we have an enigma.
Circa around two thousand nine hundred and seventeen, this specimen has no sexual organs or outer extremities. There is no evidence of decapitation as the head is perfectly preserved, a complete entity of a species at that time.
We are still to determine how mobility and dexterity were achieved, though it is believed that over the centuries they evolved to control matter and objects by thought processes alone.
The skin is flexible, though discoloured in comparison to that in previous millennia.
Again it is believed that this may have been caused by atmospheric changes and decay in their ozone, or climatic phenomena that has yet to be researched.
You will note the ears have become flattened against the side of the head, no longer open to sound, which again suggests communication by thought.
Nourishment is another mystery as there is no stomach or digestive system, neither are there lungs for breathing purposes.
It is therefore no surprise that Man became extinct by the year 3000.”
