Thanks Linda. Interesting prompt this week!
Oh we are seeing plenty of this/these lately.
One of the things about house hunting is that you notice little things, like ceilings and sealings.
We’ve seen property where the ceilings are low, high, covered in mould, cracked, papered, tiled, panelled or even absent! Bedrooms with restricted height amuse me sometimes where the bed is positioned, as visions of our wedding night in an inside cabin on the ferry which had bunks comes to mind and neither of us could do anything for laughing.
Restricted height in bathrooms also amuse as most do not have over-the-bath showers. You could not raise your hands above your head to wash your hair without hitting them, and if you were over 6 feet tall you’d have to stoop or squat anyway.
On the subject of bathrooms you can group in kitchens too, as we look at the state of the sealant around baths, showers, loos and of course sinks. In the boat I got a little carried away scrubbing the back of our bathroom sink and rubbed the sealant away, so we had to replace it, and I was never any good at pipe-icing cakes.
Of course there are other seals on property to look at, those on windows and doors.
The last thing we want is seepage or worse, indoor waterfalls!
