The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS July 8/17

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “ick.” Find a word with “ick” in it or use it as a word itself. Have fun!

We are all getting pretty sick of the heat.
Hubby’s feeling icky and food picky, which is partly because of our long journey on Wednesday and mostly due to this unforgiving weather.
The dog’s joining in too, having been sick Thursday night/Friday morning, and I got her outside just in the nick of time. I can pick up after her, but not a human being. That in itself makes me want to throw up too!
We need to kick the heat into touch and replace it with lots and lots of heavenly rain.
That’ll soon lick the garden plants back into shape!

  1. I hope you get relief from the heat soon.

    • Oh me too! It’s been hot again today, no rain in the early hours as forecast, no thunderstorms or showers this afternoon to clear the air. I’m pink in the shoulders having gone out this afternoon without my hat ( I look like an under-training flowerpot man wearing it!)
