She had absolutely no reason for Fremdschämen just because the asomatous ‘council’ of hearsay had preceded her.
The village cabal had tried to disrupt the meeting, their opaque and blinkered view a mere blip on the horizon of much needed change.
She rose above it all and was ready to make a stand, her name mentioned in the item on page three of the local paper.
As she prepared for her first sermon as the new vicar, she started to hum to herself.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Hi Di 🙂

It certainly is a most challenging wordle this week – but you’ve managed it very well. The deciding line, was the “vicar” – yes, this totally brings this somewhat mysterious tale all together. Just enough of the mystery to leave the imagination wondering, and then the ending explains enough to let the reader sit back and sigh, but still wonder a bit. Excellent word play 🙂

And I’d hit the “like” button, but WP is acting up this morning, on my end. 😦

    • It’s been playing up my end too, so I guess the Happiness Engineers have been hitting the happy juice a little too hard in this heat!
Oh boy, I was having serious problems bringing it all together, then I thought of the Vicar angle, and had that ‘Light Bulb’ moment.

okay , then it’s not just me …. yeah, too much juice 😉 – LOL

you did a great job 🙂 it’s a tough wordle this week – it seems not so bad, until you start to really get into the harder words, then it’s not so easy – so thank the stars for “light bulb” moments, or other such entities and deities 😉
