Check out this week’s challenge here
I loved this place and remember how the woods echoed with birdsong and the animals came to drink.
It wasn’t a raging torrent, just a small stream trickling its way down into the valley, but the peace and tranquility was sufficient to calm my senses and soothe my battered spirit.
The landscape has changed due to the collapse of the road, but I hope Nature reclaims what is hers and the water dams to cascade over the boulders in a gentle waterfall.
In time the stones will become smooth and rounded, and the animals will come again.
We all need our little piece of natural Heaven.
