Back to weigh ins this week and I feel my three stone certificate will still evade me.
Despite 8 days of continuous exercise working locks and practically walking to Warwick as they were so close together, my shape is different but I am definitely heavier.
Having had weight problems since senior school, it has always been a touchy issue, but finally I am beginning to feel comfortable and good about this body I’m in. I’ll never be skinny, but then I never wanted to be. I’ve toned up well and I’m pleased about that.
Whilst away, the third of a plate of speed food went out of the window as with no shops and deciding not to use the fridge on our journey to avoid mildew/mould after our departure, we couldn’t keep very much in reserve, so relied on our tin store and fresh fruit when we had the opportunity to buy it.
With the energy I was using, I kept up my sugar levels with biscuits, but then we only had breakfast and one cooked meal a day.
Now that we are back, my sweet tooth has deserted me, which is a good thing as I can concentrate on getting back in the saddle of ‘sensible’ eating.
Today I have cooked sweet and sour chicken with rice from scratch.
I had extra mushrooms with mine, and we had our dessert of black forest fruit crumble as our evening ‘meal’.
Photos are old ones taken on the boat
I buy a frozen mix of blackberries, blackcurrants, grapes and cherries for £1.59 which will make two crumbles for the two of us. My crumble topping is porridge oats and granola cereal, so a few syns but probably not as many as a traditional crumble would have.
