Greetings of Love

Not knowing where to put herself
She did what she did best,
Wagged her tail and entire body,
She never let it rest.
We’d been away for just nine days,
And left her with a friend,
She’d been loved and spoilt all the while,
But wanted us in the end.
So excited, she flopped and rolled,
Such a pleasure for us to see,
But not so the puddle on the floor
Where she’d leaked a happy wee……..
Now we’re home and she curls up
Beside me on the bed,
Tucked behind my knees and toes,
Or against my chest instead.
Always close, not losing sight
Of her ‘Mum and Dad’ for long,
We’re all together, her family,
Maggie’s love is still strong.

About pensitivity101

Retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination, loves to cook, favourite food everything especially chocolate and jelly babies. Best friends are Hubby and Dog, Bro, MSM and our Dominoes Friend aka MOH (and his dog). Also a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours but times change and we are once again house hunting.
