Gloria was an only child who found it extremely difficult to make friends either in or out of school.
Her parents were worried, but the experts said she would soon blossom in her own way and find her place in society.

At the age of 10, her father took her to the movies where she became more animated than he had ever known her. Making discreet enquiries, he came up with a plan that would not only bring his daughter out of her shell, but would ease her loneliness and isolation.
For months, he took photographs as she played, studied and slept, and presented a substantial file as requested to the craftsman he had engaged for the task.

A few weeks later, there was a knock on the door and a little girl stood on the threshold with her back to it.
Gloria answered, and screamed when the girl turned around, fainting dead away.
The intended marionette playmate was a reincarnation of the Horror Doll Chucky, not the cute string puppet along the lines of Pinocchio as had been commissioned.

Retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination, loves to cook, favourite food everything especially chocolate and jelly babies. Best friends are Hubby and Dog, Bro, MSM and our Dominoes Friend aka MOH (and his dog). Also a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours but times change and we are once again house hunting.
