Saturday Mix — Lorraine 18.03.17

Welcome to this week’s Saturday Mix challenge:

prompt word: walk(ing)

Lizzy often liked to go for a long walk and wore daps or trainers for comfort and durability.

Peering down at her feet, they were enclosed in the purple canvas shoes with blue laces and white trim that had been a gift from her grandmamma for her birthday today.

Her elderly aunt had bought a pair of matching socks to complete her foot ensemble, gushing that they were ‘so cute’, ‘so adorable’, and ‘so her’!

Smiling whilst gritting her teeth, she knew she’d have to wear them, even though she was no longer the child they remembered and were two sizes too small.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and have a terrible sweet tooth. Best friends are Hubby, our dog Maggie, Bro in NZ, MSM and MOH (and his dog). I am also a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we were once again house hunting until September. We now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

Wonderful — the end was such a smiler! And just what aging relatives would do! My shoes fit if I wear multiple socks — quite the opposite problem.
Thanks so for participating. Another submission I truly enjoyed.
