Add another A and U and that was my hand at scrabble the other day.
It had been a while since we’d been up to have a game with MSM as she has been away or busy with other things.
We arrived armed with goodies to nibble, and settled down after putting a few pieces in the jigsaw.
MSM always has at least one jigsaw puzzle on the go, and when we house sat for her in 2015, we finished the three she had started and began a fourth.
They are addictive and just when you think you’ve exhausted your current streak of putting pieces in, another fits into place and you’re off again.
This was one of the ones we completed during our stay, and I can remember the wrappers as well as the products and prices from my childhood.
Our scrabble evenings are fun and relaxing as MSM is good company.
Lately though we have scored abysmally as we have all been plagued by Vowel Syndrome!
I even asked if she’d mixed two games together, so we went through all the tiles ensuring we had the right number of individual letters.
All present and correct, but still we had lousy scores and a mass of vowels. I got a little excited at one stage as I had a variety of consonants, but they were all only one point apiece which didn’t help much.
As for the last time someone put down a seven letter word, well, it seems eons ago.
We’re playing again this week, so hopefully the dip in the bag will be more interesting!
Well I didn’t succeed with my new toy as this was still in my draft folder.
