Hi Productivity!

I’ve been busy this morning and whilst Hubby was computering, I was carding.
I like to spread out, so having space and Just Me Time to do so isn’t that often, so I made the most of it.
Hubby left the boat just before ten and didn’t come back until well after two.
MSM dropped in just as I was putting things away, so it all worked out rather nicely and I had about three hours all to myself.

Buried at the bottom of my box were a variety of old layered kits I’d purchased when I first started card making about seven years ago. They are still available, but I shan’t be buying any more as some are really fiddly to do, the shapes don’t pop out of their perforations very well and the layers don’t always line up properly.
I had a couple of stems break, but managed to get round that OK.

2-cardsSome time ago I was given a craft pack that had been free with a magazine and it contained several papers with designs on both sides. I settled for the pastel side rather than cartoon boots, cup cakes or hearts and flowers to do these.

I also found a loose set of Christmas designs which I’d picked up for 50p in the sale so put those together too. I still have a lot of Christmas ones to do, but that will be another day.
chirstmas-4As always, at least one idea never comes together and so rather than waste my materials, I needed a plan B.
I’d carefully cut out several blocks of coloured paper to put on a contrasting card, but it just didn’t work, so I did a bit more cutting, turned the paper over to show the dogs rather  than my original choice, and this was the result:

plan-bMy little plastic folder now has quite a selection of cards for different occasions, plus some which are ‘non committal’ and thus flexible!
These are all of the ones I made today.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

How creative you are! That must require great storage discipline on a boat?

    • Thanks Steve! Storage is extremely limited which is why 3/4 of my card making gear got given to charity. I kept a single A4 box about 6 inches deep and try to keep my materials in that. The finished products go into a plastic folder which is easily accessible under the bench when needed. I can’t do ‘fussy’ anymore as my hands won’t co-operate, but simple designs are a pleasure as when you think of it it’s just a blank card, pretty paper and shapes and sticky tape.

Very creditable. Lovely to create things…

    • I was never very creative at school so I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed card making in later life. These days I’d rather spend time making a card for a specific someone than buying one as it’s more personal.

  3. Lovely…I am thinking of doing cards from some of my designs…will see.

Wow, a very productive day! Love them all. 😊

  5. I always enjoy your card posts. You really have a talent for this!
