I’ve been busy this morning and whilst Hubby was computering, I was carding.
I like to spread out, so having space and Just Me Time to do so isn’t that often, so I made the most of it.
Hubby left the boat just before ten and didn’t come back until well after two.
MSM dropped in just as I was putting things away, so it all worked out rather nicely and I had about three hours all to myself.
Buried at the bottom of my box were a variety of old layered kits I’d purchased when I first started card making about seven years ago. They are still available, but I shan’t be buying any more as some are really fiddly to do, the shapes don’t pop out of their perforations very well and the layers don’t always line up properly.
I had a couple of stems break, but managed to get round that OK.
Some time ago I was given a craft pack that had been free with a magazine and it contained several papers with designs on both sides. I settled for the pastel side rather than cartoon boots, cup cakes or hearts and flowers to do these.
I also found a loose set of Christmas designs which I’d picked up for 50p in the sale so put those together too. I still have a lot of Christmas ones to do, but that will be another day.
As always, at least one idea never comes together and so rather than waste my materials, I needed a plan B.
I’d carefully cut out several blocks of coloured paper to put on a contrasting card, but it just didn’t work, so I did a bit more cutting, turned the paper over to show the dogs rather than my original choice, and this was the result:
