Set in Custard

We all know the phrase ‘watching paint dry’, but Hubby’s favourite at the moment is everything being ‘Set in Custard’.
Our WIFI is     S   O     S   L   O   W  this morning, I was able to make the tea before we’d even connected up, let alone logged into our blogs.

These are a few of the reasons why this could be:

1)  The weather.
It’s damp, foggy and soggy outside, and the router doesn’t like getting wet.
2)  The Boys are in today.
They tend to play games against each other………on their computers, phones or ipads.
3)  The Lady in Red is back.
Her fruit salad equipment of Apples and Blackberries swamp and drain the signal.
4)  Mr Sky has a new toy.
He and his wife have managed to link up their TV to the router and are avid soap fans.
5)  Visitors.
We have a few visitors to the site who download a variety of movies to watch over the coming week as they do their laundry. It bombs everyone out.

Ho hum.
If it brightens up later, we may walk up to the Abbey stopping for a coffee on the way back.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. You need more internet juice!

    • Yeah, indeed, but as the WIFI here is free, we don’t like to complain (too much). We’ve looked into alternatives and some are quite costly, but we use the internet a lot, so mobile packages aren’t usually enough to cover both of us. If we had a landline here, it would be different, so you never know…….. landlines are being put in the other basin as part of the revamp so maybe there are plans to do the same this side!
