If nothing else, this year will go down as one of the worst for
losing well known and loved celebrities, artists, and actors.
It has just been announced of the death of
Carrie Fisher,
and
the last few days have seen the passing of
Liz Smith, George Michael, and Rick Parfitt.
At the beginning of the year, the world was shocked at the death of
David Bowie.
Shortly thereafter,
Terry Wogan and
Alan Rickman followed.
I cannot list them all, but here are just a few of the well known faces
that made up a part of my life simply by being there on the big screen.
Paul Daniels
Glenn Frey
Victoria Wood
Andrew Sachs
Ronnie Corbett
Prince
Dan Haggerty
Gene Wilder
Mohammed Ali
Nancy Reagan
Carla Lane
Caroline Aherne
Jean Alexander
Jimmy Young
Robert Vaughn
Leonard Cohen
Greg Lake
Zsa Zsa Gabor
Peter Vaughan
Thank you for your talent, adaptations, humour and wonder.
RIP.

It’s been a shocking year indeed… RIP to all those who departed our world… famous or not xx
And so many younger people.
2016 seems to have had more celebrity deaths than usual, and keeps claiming lives right up to the end. 😦
As you say, these are people we loved even if we never met them.
I cannot remember a year with so many ‘stars’ passing.
I know. It has been a year of loss, as in my own little world I lost 3 family members within 2 months; two people and Mr SL.
I remember. We lost a dear friend in July.
Yes. We will remember them though. 🙂
