I’ve got a new fruit bowl

No, nothing too fancy, but we had a little mishap in the cupboard and one of our china cereal bowls got broken, though we don’t quite know how.

We don’t have a lot in the way of crockery, 4 matching ringed plates and one plain odd one, 2 soup/pasta/curry dishes, 2 1 cereal bowl, and a glass mixing bowl.
platesI use the glass bowl for microwaving stuff and recently for housing some of my fruit salads.
Today, I spent the grand sum of £2 buying 2 new cereal bowls, which are almost as big as the glass one. No wonder we are a nation of chubbies if we are encouraged to eat ‘by the bowl’! Anything weighed or measured will look lost in something this size.

Today’s breakfast was galia melon (pre new bowl) with a sprinkling of granola (2 syns).
melon-breakfastMy main meal was a tomato pasta and salad (couldn’t decide which was the better picture)

and for dessert (in one of the new bowls), pear, kiwi, red grapes, apricots and raspberries with a generous dollop of quark, both courses being totally syn free.

Oh please………………………………………………

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and have a terrible sweet tooth. Best friends are Hubby, our dog Maggie, Bro in NZ, MSM and MOH (and his dog). I am also a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we were once again house hunting until September. We now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.
