Back on the Wagon

I’ve had two weeks off and feel it’s time to get back on the SW wagon and continue my weight loss programme.
I was weighed and measured by the hospital for anaesthetic purposes, and it seemed that I’d lost a pound since my last weigh in on the 25th October.
I weighed myself this morning and I appear to have lost two kilos since then.
However, I am aware that my own scales tend to weigh lighter than the ‘official’ ones, so I shall be making an all out effort over the next seven days.

Sadly things didn’t go exactly to plan, and on day one I have oversynned having forgotten that latte coffee on the way back from the High Street this morning (damn!).
The good news is that I have had plenty of fruit today, and enjoyed a salad and jacket potato with tuna, garlic and chilli.

You may recall I won the raffle one night and this was my choice of prize:

Well, the Infusion range is on special offer at the supermarket, so I treated myself to three.
The one above (1½ syns), a salmon and teriyaki (1 syn), and the tuna with garlic and chilli I had today (3½ syns). I’m glad I didn’t pick tuna with lemon and thyme as it has 4½ syns. In fact, I think I shall be avoiding anything infused with tuna as they are all considerably higher than the salmon options.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day, and I shall have melon for breakfast with cinnamon.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
