Hubby took the car back to the garage this morning as that annoying clunk has come back, despite all nuts, bolts and screws being fully tightened.
I thought I would take advantage of having some Me time and spreading out in the boat to make some Christmas Cards. It’s all the fault of SW’s meeting on Tuesday getting us in the festive spirit with enjoyable nibbles I suppose.
Hubby, bless him, had got the table out of the bow for me and also dug out my card making box from under the bench as they can be quite awkward to get to. I’m a bit sore after yesterday so I was glad I didn’t have to lift and stretch to set myself up.
Several years ago, I bought some ‘toppers’ from the bargain bucket which were being sold off at 4 packs of 6 for a pound. These days, you are lucky to get one pack of 4 for a pound!
I did however find some sheets of toppers priced at a pound each, and although not what I’d had before, each sheet was adequate for 8 cards.
It was a bit like Christmas anyway sorting through my box as I found quite a few other things I could use, and well, in all, I’ve had a whale of a time.
The first one I cocked up not once, but twice. It was a three-way card, so I cut off the botched front and had another go, making a ballsup of that as well by sticking my backing paper on upside down, so it all ended up in the bin anyway.
I’d bought some silver glitter kits in January for ‘specials’ but didn’t attempt those today in light of my ‘mishap’, so will do those later.
Instead, I decided to keep things simple and ended up making 21 cards.
I got into a theme, and although no two cards are identical, some of the ideas are, but they all worked and I am really pleased with my efforts. These are just a few.
