Yep, it’s that time of year again when they close half of the town’s roads for the annual Mop Fair.
In 2014 and 2015, we walked up on the first night to look around and take in the atmosphere. Maggie wasn’t too bothered by all the noise, but last year it was louder and busier than the first we attended.
Last night, the weather was a bit iffy as it was drizzly, you know the kind of rain that seeps into your clothes without you really noticing, so we didn’t go. We may go tonight though.
Surprisingly, we didn’t hear very much, apart from the occasional scream from punters on rides, but the lights. Oh, the searchlights, coloured towers, spinning wheels, we could certainly see those lighting up the sky from the pontoon!
