Explanation please

I have been getting a message

‘301 moved permanently’

on the drop down comments/likes icon on my menu bar recently, like every week!

301 what exactly?
Moved to where?
Can I get them back?

Anyone else having this?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and have a terrible sweet tooth. Best friends are Hubby, our dog Maggie, Bro in NZ, MSM and MOH (and his dog). I am also a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! Due to a nightmare of a house sale in 2014, 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat until April 2017. We made strong friendships both on and off the water, and enjoyed swan and duck families for neighbours. Sadly times change and we were once again house hunting until September. We now reside in a small bungalow a short distance from the beach on the Lincolnshire coast.

We used to have to catch a 301 bus………. which seemed to move away from where we expected it to be, on a regular basis. Is that any help?

  2. Are any of these from Yahoo. Yesterday I found all my Yahoo bookmarks deleted. When I finay got Yahoo, I found it was in a beta form. I don’t know what 301 is, but I wonder about the coincidence.

  3. colinandray says:

“The HTTP response status code 301 Moved Permanently is used for permanent URL redirection, meaning current links or records using the URL that the response is received for should be updated.” Bet you wish the bus answer was the good one!

  4. Can’t help. New to me.

This has happened to me if I try to pick up notification while browsing the reader. It generally rectified itself after a short while.

Not had this – but your previous commentators seem to have suggestions πŸ™‚
